Field Trip

Mount Moran in autumn. National Park Service photo
On Wednesday, be part of a fun and educational all-day Field Trip
Participants will board a tour bus (~55 occupants/bus) at Snow King, for a day long tour through Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park. A lunch will be provided.
Participants should dress for weather, and bring cameras and binoculars.
The tour will be led by local biologists, who will explain local landscape features, history and ecology. Several stops will be made at scenic areas so that participants can observe the landscapes and wildlife. There will be ample stops for discussions and time for photographs. Those who wish to may follow in their own vehicles.
The route will run from Snow King north through Jackson Valley, past Blacktail Butte and Moose (a town, where Park Headquarters are, not the animal!), across Antelope Flats to Moran. Here the group will turn northwest and drive past The Oxbow, to Jackson Lake Lodge.
We’ll then turn south across Jackson Lake Dam, past Jenny Lake and have the Teton Range immediately to one side. We’ll stop at Moose to visit the National Park Museum before returning to Jackson, where we’ll stop again at the Interagency Visitor Center before returning to Snow King.
Assuming fair weather participants will see panoramic views of one of the most iconic landscapes in North America, and examples of most of the native ungulates, including bison, elk, moose, mule deer and prong-horned antelope.
Gala Banquet and Silent Auction

The conference wraps up with a Thursday evening Gala banquet (6:00-9:00 pm) complete with an amazing silent auction including hard-to-find swan and nature items. You will have a great experience for a great cause. All proceeds support our programs across North America to assure the vitality and welfare of wild trumpeter swans.
Do you have an item you want to donate to the auction?
To make a donation, complete this form (below) and mail/email it to the Carl Mitchell. Donated items may be sent separately or hand-delivered to the conference. Mailed items must be received by October 17, 2022. Thank you!
If you prefer to mail your auction item (plus auction item form so we know who is donating it!), mail it to:
