In 2025, this film was nominated for two Emmys (Upper Midwest region):  Best Documentary (historical) and Best Photography (Cinematography)!

The hour long film has this PBS write-up:

"The majestic trumpeter swan, North America’s largest waterfowl, was once hunted to the brink of extinction. Thanks to the remarkable efforts of a new generation, this iconic species is making a comeback. Experience one of the greatest conservation success stories of our time."

This beautiful film is a project of The Trumpeter  Swan Society and funded by a bequest from the James and Patricia Bigley Trust. It was created and produce by Steve Devon. 

It has been shown on PBS stations in 30 states.
