Welcome!

For over 50 years, The Trumpeter Swan Society has worked tirelessly to restore the magnificent Trumpeter Swan back to North America's natural heritage. Our mission is to assure the vitality and welfare of wild Trumpeter Swans.

Virtually gone by the late 1800s, the Trumpeter Swan existed only in memory as one of North America's most radiant and magnificent birds. Thanks to the passion and commitment of people just like you, Trumpeter Swans are back from the brink of extinction and into the wild once again.

Trumpeter Swans are symbols of hope showing that science, partnerships, and perseverance can bring a species back from the brink of extinction.

In this section you will find all that you need to know about our people, mission, and history. For more than 50 years we have been involved in almost every major restoration effort of Trumpeter Swans. The Society works across North America on swan issues which differ region by region. Learn more in What We Do.

Welcome to the beautiful and wonderful world of Trumpeter Swans!
