Missouri's Danny Brown's shot of seven Trumpeters at Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary was selected as Photo of the Week for Travel National Geographic. You can download this image as wallpaper—nice! Also, Danny's stunning , April 2011 TTSS Photo of the Month was featured on the February 2011 cover of Missouri Conservationist, the magazine of the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Minnesota's Laura Finazzo's First Winter and three other Trumpeter Swan images were featured in the Capture Minnesota contest. Her photo will be included in a book that compiles some of the state's finest images, as voted on by the community involved. You can support her work with Trumpeters by voting online.
New Jersey's Jim Gilbert will be a judge for the Friends of the 2012 Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge Photo Contest.

The Trumpeter Swan Society offers a forum for photographers to share their swan images with other swan enthusiasts. In support of our mission, we are keen to bring fresh images to our electronic and print publications. We know that readers are drawn to help Trumpeter Swans and support TTSS when they see quality photos of North America's swans that showcase their elegance, beauty, and behaviors.
If you are a photographer who would like to share images, we are happy to consider them. Please send a sample or a Web link to one of your galleries to Peg Abbott, Outreach Coordinator.
TTSS hosts a Photo of the Month feature on our Blog and we regularly send out electronic newsletters, Facebook posts, and Blog posts. We publish a print newsletter, Trumpetings, three times a year, and an Annual Report. Our intent is to use the images only as the contributing photographer directs.
We hope to build an active forum for photographers to share their achievements. Let us know and we will post when one of our network of photographers receives an honor or recognition for their swan images, publishes their work, or, in a significant way, brings swans to the attention of the world.
We applaud a group of photographers whose work we use again and again, for our website, brochures, communications, and other publications. Several of these individuals have been supporting members of TTSS for years. A few of them have also generously donated images for our Silent Auctions or other fundraising events, or shared a percentage of their print sales. Special appreciation goes to these generous and talented photographers.
