21st Trumpeter Swan Society Conference 16 - 19 April, 2008 . (updated March 10, 2008)
TTSS' 21st biennial conference will be held this spring
in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. The conference will be held in conjunction with the annual Yukon Celebration of Swans. Come and help us celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Society .... and learn more about trumpeters and other swans, especially in western Canada and Alaska. See More information. Port Susan Snow Goose & Birding Festival - February 23-24, 2008, Stanwood, Washington. This is a great event for everyone in the family. There will be informational booths, an art show, kids' activities, lectures on a variety of bird topics, items to buy, tours and much more. 10th Annual Grande Prairie Swan Festival, Saskatoon Island Provincial Park, April 26-27, 2008. Celebrating the annual return of the swans to the Peace Country in Alberta, Canada. Visit the website to find out about tours and festival events.
3rd Annual Tawas Pt. Birding Festival, Tawas Bay, Michigan, May 16-18, 2008. The Trumpeter Swan will be the featured bird at this bird festival! Click on the festival website for more details.
20th Trumpeter Swan Society Conference 20th - 22nd October 2005
TTSS' 20th biennial conference was held
in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and co-hosted with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. A brief summary of the meeting can be found in the November 2005 issue of Trumpetings. A Proceedings of the conference will be published in 2006 as a special edition of North American Swans.
